                            Mission
                                    (Updated 1/10/07)

Our Mission
The mission of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is to communicate faithfully the love of God, nurture people in their Christian faith, and equip people to bring the love of Jesus to others.

The scriptural basis for our mission is:

Matthew 23:37-40 Jesus' great command to love God and others

Mathew 28:18-20 Jesus' great commission to make disciples of all nations.

1 Corinthians 4:2 God's call to be faithful.

Our Goals
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer will . . .
  • provide ministries that increase biblical knowledge, understanding and application.
  • challenge people to obey God's Word and grow in spiritual maturity.
  • focus on strengthening relationships and building a strong sense of Christian community.
  • be committed to serving the needs of people who do not yet belong to the kingdom of God.
  • help lay people discover and use their spiritual gifts and abilities in ministry to others inside and outside the congregation.
  • provide opportunities that encourage children and youth to grow in Christ.
  • provide a variety of worship opportunities.
