MORE on New Membership Class
The first step in the process of becoming a member of Redeemer is attending our New Member Class, which will be offered on Sunday mornings, during the 9:00am service. Classes will begin on Sunday, January 15 and continue for 6 weeks, concluding February 19. Sessions are held in the “Great Room” with nursery and Sunday School available for your children.
Following those six sessions, we will have a New Member Orientation on Sunday, February 26 . This is a very informative time intended to acquaint all new members with the staff and the many programs and ministries here at Redeemer.
Finally, on March 4, you will have opportunity to officially join Redeemer during the 9am service, if that is your desire. The service is followed by a New Member Brunch for you and your family and friends.
The New Member Class is intended for those who do not have a Lutheran background, as we focus on the teachings of the Lutheran church. These sessions can also serve as a good refresher course for those joining Redeemer through transfer or “Profession / Reaffirmation of Faith” or our current members. You may attend the class freely, we warmly welcome you, even if you do not choose to join at the end of the process.
For those of you who cannot attend the Sunday morning classes, or would like another option, Gary Priskorn is teaching a 6 week class on Tuesday mornings that will cover the same content. It is titled “What Lutheran Christians Believe” and began on January 3rd at 9:30am in the Great Room.
If you have any questions about the New Member Classes, or anything regarding Redeemer, please contact Andrea Schlak, 248-644-4010 ext. 120 or aschlak@redeemerbirmingham.org
We eagerly look forward to sharing His Word and our friendship with you!
